Color Us Happy!
 
To keep our class happy and safe, we need to follow our school rules.  We need to be good listeners, keep our hands to ourselves, raise our hands to speak and be good friends to all.  To help us learn to keep the rules, we have a behavior management system called "Pull A Card."
 
Each student has a pocket of cards to keep track of how his/her day is going. If he/she breaks a rule, he/she pulls a card, which gives him or her a yellow card. If he/she breaks a 2nd rule, he/she pulls a 2nd card, which gives him/her a red card.  If he/she breaks a 3rd rule, he/she pulls a 3rd card, which gives him/her a black card. The 4th time a card is pulled, the child will have an orange card and his/her parents will be called.
After lunch, we have Think, Work, Play.  Ms. Sell, Ms. Cross and Mrs. Renzelli rotate this duty. Students who have pulled cards go to think room, students who have not finished their work, or have not done homework, do his/her work in the think room. One teacher has think room; the other two teachers have play.
 
Green--------play
Yellow-------1 card pulled is 10 minutes in think room
Red--------2 cards pulled is 15 minutes in think room
Black--------3 cards pulled is 20 minutes in think room. (no playtime)
Orange--------Call parents
